Atonement for sin was a primary part of Jesus's mission. I am afraid one cannot say that Jesus is a prophet and reject his atonement. If someone accepts Jesus as a prophet they also must accept that He came to make atonement for sins. Was Jesus a good man ? Yes, Jesus was a good man, and a prophet, and so much more.
